浙江大学“一带一路”国际医学院于2020年12月经过教育部批准，由浙江大学负责办学和管理，坐落于浙江义乌，校园于2023年10月正式启用，是一所服务国家“一带一路”倡议的高等医学教育机构，由中国科学院院士、著名生殖医学家黄荷凤担任院长，主要规划设置基础医学、临床医学等医学相关学科，并通过与人文、社科、理科、工科、信息等多学科交叉融合发展“新医科”体系。

【项目介绍】
“全球杰出教席计划”是浙江大学面向海外名师设立的教学项目。围绕“培养德智体美劳全面发展、具有全球竞争力的高素质创新人才和领导者”的人才培养总目标，汇聚国际顶级教学资源，打造具有浙大特色和全球影响力的金课群，助力拔尖创新人才培养。
浙江大学“一带一路”国际医学院将为“全球杰出教席”入选者提供具有国际竞争力的工作津贴、教学活动和课程建设经费，并根据需要配备教学支持团队。
【项目要求】
（1）申请人应知华友华、治学严谨、有国际学术影响力、教学能力突出、育人成效显著，主要包括国际重要奖项获得者、科技发达国家学术组织院士、全球顶尖大学或一流学科的正教授、获得过重要教学奖项或出版过国际畅销教材的学者等。
（2）课程面向我院本科生或研究生开设，原则上应为本科生通识必修课、专业基础课、专业必修课、限定选修课或研究生专业课。课程由申请人自主设计或与我院协商设计，应具有高阶性、创新性和挑战性，使学生真正受益。
（3）在项目执行期内，每学年至少主讲一门高质量课程。原则上线下授课，可独立授课或与校内外教师组成课程组联合授课，本人每门课程的授课时数不少于24学时，并积极参与课程和教材建设、帮助青年教师教学能力提升等。

Global Distinguished Educator Program
【Introduction】
Zhejiang University (ZJU), recognized both domestically and internationally, stands out as a comprehensive and research-oriented institution, celebrated for its innovative approach and unique characteristics. The university boasts a diverse array of disciplines, including but not limited to philosophy, economics, and medicine. ZJU has earned high esteem in the academic community, reflected by its notable positions in various global university rankings. Specifically, in the QS World University Rankings 2024, ZJU is ranked 44th, while in the QS Asian University Rankings 2024, it achieves the 6th position. Moreover, the university holds a prestigious 3rd place in China according to the 2023 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) , and ranks 33rd globally in the ARWU World Rankings.
The International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (ISM), built on Zhejiang University’s hundred-year history, the ZJU-ISM has aimed high since its inception. With its Medicine listed as national First-class discipline, the University is confident and able to extend medical education into the central region of the Province. Huang Hefeng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and well-known reproductive medicine scientist, is the inaugural dean of the ZJU-ISM. With the combined support of the University and Yiwu government, ZJU-ISM will better serve the national “Double First-class” Initiative and deliver the top-quality care the region needs, and transform health professional education in an interconnected world. The brand-new campus has opened in October 2023. Enjoying advanced facilities and conducive learning environment, 92 MBBS students from 25 countries have embarked on their academic journey here. Meanwhile, the school has also recruited 70 postgraduate supervisors and 484 postgraduates (including 355 master’s students and 129 doctoral students) from year 2020. The Global Distinguished Educator Program (GDE) seeks to attract internationally renowned scholars with exceptional teaching skills to deliver high-quality courses to undergraduate and graduate students at International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University.
【Eligibility】
To be eligible for the GDE program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
（1）Have a good understanding of Chinese culture and values, and agree with the spirit and core values of Zhejiang University.
（2）Have made outstanding academic achievements and great international academic influence.
（3）Winners of prestigious awards in their respective fields, including but not limited to the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Turing Award, Lasker Medical Research Award, Pulitzer Prize, and Wolf Prize; academicians in major developed countries; full professors from top universities or leading disciplines; scholars working at prominent international organizations, and have received prestigious teaching awards or published best-selling textbooks.
【Responsibilities】
GDE fellows are responsible for the following duties:
（1）In each academic year, teach at least one high-quality course, either a new course or an existing one at the undergraduate or graduate level. This course should be either a General Education Course or one required in the curriculum of a major.
（2）GDE fellows can teach the course independently or jointly with faculty members from Zhejiang University. The course should be taught in person. The fellow's direct instruction in the classroom should be at least 24 class hours per academic year.
（3）In addition to teaching, GDE fellows are expected to actively contribute to the development of high-quality courses and textbooks, establish international collaborations in teaching, and mentor junior professors in improving their teaching capabilities.
【Financial support】
GED fellows will be compensated at a rate that is competitive internationally. The amount will be determined based on their teaching experience and workload.
